Slingsby Sklylark 4 glider for sale, 1964 mfr, very good condition, with
full year's C of A and a recently rebuilt trailer. Based in Essex.

A full repaint was professionally done with refabricing work by Peterborough
Sailplanes about 10 years ago, and I reckon the glider is still in very good
condition (better than some 1/2 its age). Pictures can be seen on this

It's a superb early solo machine - excellent for scratching in weak lift and
always last to land in the evening (and I've done 3 golds & a diamond goal
in it too).

It has a min. L/D of 38:1, and min. sink of 1.1 kts. Very gentle handling
and easy to thermal in the slightest of thermals - and easy to land too.

It comes with T/S, vario, A/H, Oxygen set, altimeter but no 'fancy'
instrumentation. No chute. It has had the BGA approved "extra winch-launch
hook" mod. to make it far better at winching than with the standard
'compromise' towhook.

I have owned it since 1974 and am very sad to sell, but as both partners are
converting to power and have bought a G109 motor-glider, the time has
finally come :-(
