Hello,

Many questions have been asked about the flapron system on the CAVOK-10 =
(www.fly-cavok.com).

The flap and ailron are operated just like on 15-meter and open class =
gliders, i.e. there is a flap handle on the left side of the cockpit, =
and the flap position is mechanically mixed with the ailron command from =
the flight stick.=20

To simplify the design (=3D=3D> lower weight and lower price) the =
flaprons are only connected to the controls at the wing root. Some may =
recall that this is similar to the original LS3.

The flap is extremely important for the performance of a low wing =
loading sailplane such as the CAVOK-10 (by law limited to 30 kg/m2). By =
making the fuselage always fly straight through the air a very =
respectable performance up to 150-160 km/h is expected.

Best regards

Karl Osen
